Overview
Intelliware was founded in 1990 by software engineers who believed that the application of Lean Manufacturing techniques could have a dramatic impact on software quality and application development productivity. Through the process of continuous improvement, Intelliware has built a collaborative development model that is client-focused, flexible and consistently delivers results on large and small projects.
From modest beginnings in Toronto’s Bloor West Village, Intelliware has focused on execution and deliverable accountability and, as a result, has fostered relationships with a number of very loyal clients. Through several locations and numerous renovations, the company has grown to employ over 80 people and occupy 15,000 square feet while becoming a preeminent leader in the custom software development sector.
Intelliware has traditionally focused on applying state-of-the-art technologies to solve problems and build business solutions. In the early 1990’s this led the company to become expert in object-oriented programming using languages such as Smalltalk, C++, and Delphi. Once object-oriented concepts became mainstream, Intelliware embraced the new languages such as Java and later C#. In addition to embracing leading technologies there was a parallel focus on the improvement of the overall software development process. As such, Intelliware participated in the development of the agile methodologies and remains a world-class practitioner and thought leader in that domain.
Intelliware’s motto is “Delivery matters”. The company always delivers smart, simple, effective solutions to complex business problems.
